Job Title: Finance Intern Department:  Finance Hours: Part-time (10 Hours Per week) Compensation: $15.00 Hourly   Supports the mission of People's Community Clinic by supporting the Finance team in the areas of Audit, Grants, Accounts Payable and general accounting.  PCC complies with generally accepted accounting principles and is on a full accrual system. All PCC employees are expected to identify opportunities to improve work flow, work processes and patient care and to work cooperatively to implement those improvements.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Under the supervision and direction of the Controller, this individual’s primary responsibilities include:   Audit support: - Assist with audit schedule requests, related documentation scanning and approval tracing and tie outs to the accounting system and subsidiary workbooks; - Assist with grant audit requests in conjunction with the grant accounting specialist, including documentation support and related reconciliation work. - Assist Controller with any verification of internal control testing as related to audits. Grant support: - Maintain monthly grant scan files and tie them to the monthly grant workbooks, including updates related to re-classes and journal entries; - Provide support to the grant accounting specialist on grant schedule report requests and related documentation needs; Accounts Payable support: - Update and maintain invoice scans on Finance One-Drive for 2023 and 2024 General Accounting support: - Maintain capital budget to actual spreadsheets and related support folders - Participate in planning meetings related to capital projects and cash reserves - Support Senior accountant with cash reserve tracking and documentation needs - Support Senior accountant with any trace documentation requests, especially related to cash reconciliation

The intern will work collaboratively with the Chief Development Officer and the communications team to contribute to projects aimed at enhancing the clinic's visual identity and outreach initiatives.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer, this individual's primary responsibilities include: • Collaborate with the development team to craft compelling posts and videos for digital platforms, including social media, the clinic's website, and email campaigns. • Support the design and editing of marketing materials, presentations, and other visual content that aligns with the clinic's branding guidelines. • Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute creative design concepts for upcoming campaigns, projects, and fundraising events. • Utilize graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, to produce high-quality visual content that effectively communicates the clinic's values and messages. • Incorporate feedback from the Chief Development Officer and the development team to refine and iterate on designs. • Stay informed about design trends, particularly in the healthcare and nonprofit sectors, to ensure the clinic's marketing efforts are contemporary and impactful.
